Need to copy both sides of an ID card onto one page? It's easier than you think — follow these quick steps to get it right first time.
To copy cards such as a Passport, Driving Licence, National Insurance card or standard ID, use the ID Card mode. This lets you scan the front and back of a card and combine them onto a single-sided document.
Tap Copy mode on the home screen.
Select Applications and scroll to ID Card Shot.
Place the card face-down on the original glass.
Set each item to suit your finishing preference (size, layout, etc.).
Tap Start Scan to scan the front side of the card.
Turn the card over and place it back on the original glass.
Use the Start key to scan the back of the card and begin copying.
Press Finish, then press Start to complete the copy.
Make sure the card is placed flat and aligned correctly on the glass for the best quality copy. Ensure you select ID Card Shot from the Applications menu — standard copy mode will not combine both sides.
